The Mairaga water community supplies 21 municipalities and about 32,000 inhabitants of the middle part of the Mairaga river. It is without a doubt, the first Giswater success case applied to supply network management without the participation of our team, of which we are aware. A few months after the public presentation of the project, which took place in March 2014, and given the organization’s excellent IT preexistence using PostgreSQL-PostGIS and QGIS at that time, the technical managers installed, configured and they launched with normal operation the tool for the generation and management of hydraulic models integrated in a QGIS environment. Currently, the entity continues to use Giswater in water supply and sewerage projects with its most current version and with the support of the BGEO team.
