In 2014 the non-profit association that manages the project and the Giswater tool was born. Its main missions are to disseminate the values of free software applied to water cycle engineering and management, as well as to contribute to research and development of knowledge in the areas of comprehensive water cycle management, network hydraulics, urban and river hydrology or flood risk management. It is made up of water management, consulting and engineering companies and individual professionals.
