BGEO was for the third time present at Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), which happened from the 13th to the 15th of November, in Fira Barcelona, to advocate its services and solutions on the water supply management sector. The company had its own booth in the stand of the Ajuntament de Barcelona, organization with which important projects have been developed.
The event began on Tuesday and had as a background the smart urban solutions industry. Also on the opening day, there was the visit of some members of the Catalonian government, as President Quim Torra, Mayoress Ada Colau, as well as the Counselor of Digital Policies and Public Administration, Jordi Puigneró.
Xavier Torret, partner director of BGEO, intervened in different workshops and presentations. The first, on Tuesday, was the presentation of Giswater at Iwater Hub; while the others, on Wednesday, were the official debut of the latest version of Giswater 3 at the Speakers Corner of the Ajuntament de Barcelona, as well as stand of Diputació de Barcelona thanks to the collaboration with Aigües de Mataró. Finally, on Thursday, was presented the project implemented by BCASA/Ajuntament de Barcelona, Sewernet, that has BGEO as an expertise provider.
The initiative involved 146 countries, 700 cities, 844 exhibitors and 400 international speakers who shared their vision of how to build a more sustainable and livable urban environments. In terms of attendance, 21.331 people visited SCEWC. With more than 60 side events this unique meeting spot and innovative platform for urban action worldwide, was also a great opportunity to potentially create new collaborations and a source of new contacts to better develop everyone’s future.
