The Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) who will be held in Barcelona from November 15th to 17th, is an important international meeting on the link between urban realities and technological revolution. With more than 14,000 visitors from 105 countries in its latest edition, the event has become a benchmark for the development and sustainability of cities.
Specifically, the SCEWC is a leading platform for ideas, networking, experiences and international business dealings that brings together a wide variety of sectors in the context of urban development. This year, the event will focus its eyes on smart cities and citizens. For example, in the exhibition area, participants will present their projects and technologies that are making our cities smarter.
For the second time BGEO participates in the event together with Barcelona City Council. In this edition of SCEWC, our company will present the new version 2.0 of Giswater, one of its most important projects. Giswater is a free and open source software for the integrated water management that allows, among other things, to save economical resources to municipalities or entities and to improve their quality and efficiency service management of water and sewerage networks. The new version, which will incorporate a wide range of features focused on improving the management functions, will be presented during the event but will not be officially released until early 2017.
